There’s something so satisfying about opening a loot chest and seeing all the loot pouring out of it. It’s a feeling you’ll easily get addicted to.
Diablo games do this perfectly to capture their players and have them hooked for days, weeks, and even years. In fact, one of the reasons I started this website is because of Diablo and, of course, Warframe.
Some say there are no other games like Diablo, but I’m here to prove them wrong.
In this list, you’ll find some of the best Diablo-like games that offer the same level of addictiveness to satisfy the loot goblin inside you.
These are all ARPGs, just like Diablo, and some of these Diablo-style games are actually superior to the Blizzard franchise. See for yourself.
1. Grim Dawn

A 10-year-old game that quickly became a legend in the ARPG genre, Grim Dawn is still crowned as the best Diablo alternative available.
Grim Dawn is a fully single-player action-RPG that plays just like Diablo, except it’s much more affordable and doesn’t sell you expensive microtransactions.
Grim Dawn’s visuals may seem a bit outdated, but the core systems, gameplay, and loot feel even better than modern games released these days. The game has a massive story campaign with hundreds of missions and side quests. And there are expansion DLCs as well.
Grim Dawn is still getting updated regularly by the developers, and there’s a new expansion on the way with even more added content.
2. Path of Exile 2

Path of Exile is literally where all the Diablo exiles arrived at. This game is much more in-depth and hardcore than Diablo as well.
Path of Exile dominated ARPG charts over the years, and now its sequel is taking over the throne. PoE 2 improves all the core mechanics of the first title and delivers a much smoother and engaging experience.
The only downside is that PoE 2 is still in early access, and the campaign is still not complete. But, compared to Diablo 4, PoE 2 and PoE 1 offer much more interesting endgame activities and build variety to work towards for months or even years.
3. Last Epoch

Last Epoch is still a bit rough around the edges, but it’s another great alternative to Diablo that comes with an extensive campaign and decent endgame content.
Last Epoch has a very interesting story campaign that takes you across different timelines, which I found to be quite interesting. It also offers crafting and lots of build varieties.
Combat is the only thing that felt a bit stiff to me. But maybe that’s just me because this game is loved by the community and has a decent active player count as well.
4. Titan Quest II

Titan Quest 2 is one of the newest ARPGs on this list, and this game is also still in early access. But the developers have already rolled out multiple content updates, making the game even better.
The first Titan Quest game is still known as one of the greatest ARPGs, and this new title builds upon those same gameplay mechanics to appeal to its fanbase.
Titan Quest 2 features many similarities to Diablo-style games, but also maintains its own identity through the unique story campaign and build variety.
5. No Rest For The Wicked

No Rest For The Wicked is not an ordinary ARPG. It’s actually more like a souls-like game that combines mechanics from games like Diablo.
Unlike Diablo, where you float through enemy hordes using powerful skill builds, in No Rest For The Wicked, you play at a slower pace with more engaging and slower combat. It actually feels more impactful and fun.
The game just received a new update, adding co-op gameplay. And the devs are continuing to release new content periodically as well.
6. Victor Vran

Victor Vran is a classic title that feels outdated but still delivers an enjoyable experience. Basically, this game will remind you of all the good things about what ARPGs used to be.
The game has a great story that will take you to various locations with nice visuals. It also has impressive voice acting, featuring Doug Cockle, the voice of Geralt from The Witcher. And of course its rocking music tracks.
Victor Vran is not the kind of game you’ll play for hundreds of hours. It’s a good story game with Diablo-like ARPG mechanics and builds. But you will enjoy the heck out of this game for sure.
7. Van Helsing

Van Helsing is another ARPG you should check out after Victor Vran.
It’s another single-player ARPG centered around the legendary character Van Helsing. You are basically a badass monster hunter in this game, while exploring iconic locations from the franchise.
In the game, you will be able to go through an exciting story campaign while trying out cool weapons and special abilities. And of course, there are tons of things to loot as well.
Both Van Helsing and Victor Vran run on basically any old laptop or PC. And they are perfect for the Steam Deck too.
8. Torchlight Infinite

This title gets a lot of hate from the ARPG community. Mainly because it’s a completely different game from the previous Torchlight games. And also because of its heavy gacha mechanics and microtransactions.
However, I enjoyed my time with this game. It has addictive and fast-paced gameplay. Basically, you can speed run maps using powerful builds and watch loot drops all over the place.
Torchlight Infinite is made with a mobile-first approach. So the UI feels a bit like a mobile game on a desktop. On the plus side, it has cross-save so you can play on both platforms using the same account.
9. Darksiders Genesis

The Darksiders franchise experimented with a new genre when it launched this ARPG. It wasn’t their most successful launch, but it’s still a great game.
Similar to Victor Vran, Darksiders Genesis is mostly a story-based ARPG that offers a decent story campaign combined with the usual Diablo-style loot and gameplay mechanics.
This game feels a bit more like an arcade-style ARPG title, and it’s perfect for beginners and players looking for a simple story-based experience.
10. Wayfinder

Wayfinder is a game that struggled at launch. It took the developers a long time to figure out the identity of the game. After going through several phases and going independent, they finally decided to make Wayfinder a single-player focused ARPG.
Wayfinder features great builds and a campaign with interesting missions. It also includes loot and fashion that will keep you addicted to the game for a while.
While it doesn’t offer endless replayability or long-lasting endgame activities, this game is a fun game to play for a while, especially for its affordable price.
11. Slormancer

Slormancer is another new title that went under the radar in 2025. This game also does a great job of combining fun gameplay with great loot to create a fun experience.
Featuring classic pixel-style graphics and fast, action-packed gameplay, Slormancer comes with 2D-style levels and lots of things to collect.
In addition to the main storyline, the game has procedurally generated areas where loot and monster spawns are randomized. There are tons of weapons and skills you can unlock in this game as well.
12. Minecraft Dungeons

After Microsoft’s acquisition, they experimented with many different styles of Minecraft-themed games, and this is one of them.
Minecraft Dungeons is a Diablo-esque ARPG that features the same blocky/pixelated graphics from Minecraft but with some cool loot and top-down views.
This is available across all platforms, and it’s a great title for co-op play, especially for playing with kids. But don’t expect deep build variety and addictive endgame loops from this game.
