Farming games have a special power to put your mind at ease and just help you relax after a long day.
This is why I usually keep a farming sim game installed on my PC. But I also keep a farming game on my phone too, just in case.
If you’re like me and just love the calming, chill vibe of playing farming games, then this list is for you.
Here, you’ll find some of the best mobile farming games that offer a variety of gameplay styles. Some have pixel graphics while others offer more immersive mechanics.
These farming games are for Android and iPhone users. I’ve included the Google Play links to each game, but you can easily search on the Apple App Store to find these games as well.
1. Stardew Valley

Stardew Valley is one of those games that you can play forever and still find cool new things.
Stardew Valley is an RPG centered around farming and exploring. It can also be considered a life sim game too, as it kind of has a little bit of everything.
In this game, you inherit a farm, and you get to grow any kind of crop you want to grow your farming business. In the meantime, you can also go fishing, mining, and exploring. You also get to meet NPCs, do quests, and even get married.
Stardew Valley is a premium game, but it delivers the best value for your money. I just can’t recommend it enough.
2. Harvest Town

Harvest Town is like a free-to-play version of Stardew Valley, and it also combines some elements from classic JRPGs as well.
Unlike Stardew Valley, Harvest Town features some online gameplay mechanics. While you get to build your farm, do mining, raise animals, and all that, it also has various multiplayer activities as well.
Since it’s a free-to-play game, there are some monetization in the game, including a membership subscription.
3. My Time at Portia

If you’re not a huge fan of pixel art-style games, you can try out My Time at Portia.
This is another life sim-type game with farming mechanics that feature 3D visuals. It’s much more immersive than most other games on the list.
Same as in other farming games, you can grow crops, raise animals, fight creatures, and even build machines in this game.
There are also some light dating and relationship mechanics included in the game as well. The only downside is you’ll need a modern device with good specs to run this game.
4. Blocky Farm

Blocky Farm is a cozy farming game that features Minecraft-esque blocky graphics.
Blocky Farm tries to capture all aspects of farming and village life, including driving your own tractors, going fishing on a board, and even raising animals. It’s basically a farming simulator, but with blocky graphics and cute vibes.
Even though it looks cute, the game has sophisticated mechanics like physics-based driving and interactions with NPCs.
One other great thing about Blocky Farm is that you can play it offline too.
5. Hay Day

Hay Day is not as advanced or sophisticated as Stardew Valley. Instead, it offers a strictly farming-focused gameplay system.
This free-to-play title comes from the same developers behind games like Clash of Clans. Needless to say, they have nailed the gameplay mechanics to make Hay Day as addictive as possible.
In Hay Day, you simply grow crops and sell them for profit while also upgrading your farm along the way. Hay Day also has multiplayer aspects where you can buy and sell stuff with other players.
6. Farming Simulator 26 Mobile

Farming Simulator is one of the best farm sim games on PC, and it’s now on mobile platforms as well.
Unfortunately, the mobile port of the Farming Simulator games is not as smooth as the PC version. You not only need a high-end device to play this game, but many players have reported recurring bugs with the game. However, the game seems to run decently on iPhone and iPad.
If you have a device that can run this game, you should definitely try Farming Simulator as it delivers the most immersive and authentic farming experience in any video game.
7. Township

Township is one of the most popular farming games on mobile, with over 500 million downloads on Android alone.
This game is mainly popular for its highly addictive gameplay mechanics that will get you to open the app multiple times per day. My advice is to disable the notifications for this game if you want to stay sane.
Kidding aside, Township is a fun, casual farming game that you can play from time to time. It features a deep progression system where you can level up from growing crops to building factories.
8. FarmVille 2: Country Escape

FarmVille 2 is one of the classic farming games that became a sensation on Facebook. And it’s now available on mobile platforms.
This is a very lightweight and arcade-style farming game on Android and iOS platforms. This game features simple farming mechanics where you can grow specific crops based on the orders you receive.
FarmVille 2 is highly addictive and also includes some sneaky monetization systems. It’s ideal for players who only want a game to play for a few minutes at a time. Not ideal for long gameplay sessions.
9. Big Farm Homestead

Big Farm Homestead is another simple farming sim game on Android that features light and fun farming mechanics.
In this game, you can do all the basic farming activities like growing crops, raising animals, and even expanding your homestead as you level up. But it’s designed to be a very casual experience.
Big Farm Homestead features a simple storyline with quests designed to help you learn the ropes as well. It’s ideal for short gaming sessions.
10. Farm Manager

Farm Manager is a different style of farming game that focuses mainly on strategy-style gameplay, rather than farming simulation.
In this game, you play the role of a CEO who manages a farm. You are in charge of planning what kind of crops to grow, breeding livestock, and expanding the business. You must make critical decisions that can make or break your entire agricultural business.
Farm Manager also has leaderboards to make you compete alongside other players to see who makes the highest profits.
11. Viladia: Cozy Pixel Farm

This game is ideal for folks who are looking for a chill and relaxing experience. Viladia doesn’t take itself seriously and offers cute, pixel-style cozy vibes.
The creative pixel visuals of this game are quite stunning to look at. It features all the basic farming mechanics along with casual questing and events to keep yourself busy all the time.
Viladia also lets you visit other players’ farms, similar to Animal Crossing.
12. Harvest Moon: Home Sweet Home

Harvest Moon is a classic farming game that actually inspired almost every other farming game on this list. It’s the inspiration behind games like Stardew Valley.
This game features old-school JRPG-style visuals and gameplay mechanics combined with farming, fishing, mining, and all the other farming sim activities.
However, there’s a reason why I ranked it so low on the list. This game comes with a hefty price tag at $18, which to me is kind of ridiculous for a mobile game.
