Since the release of Genshin Impact, gacha games have been rolling out one after another. But they all felt the same.
Well, not anymore. Recently, we’ve been getting some really good gacha games that offer unique experiences with impactful stories and characters.
Today, I want to highlight some of the best gacha games that are actually worth playing and spending your time and money on.
These are the gacha games that are generating millions of dollars every month, and they are not going anywhere anytime soon. Rest assured, you can enjoy these games for a while without having to worry about the game being shut down.
1. NTE: Neverness to Everness

Neverness to Everness, or NTE, is one of the hottest gacha games available right now. It’s being called “anime Grand Theft Auto” and actually lives up to that name.
NTE is pretty much like GTA, but with anime characters. In this game, you get to explore a massive open world where you can steal cars and engage in various activities like becoming a taxi driver, doing deliveries, racing cars, dating other characters, and much more.
And, if you get caught doing a crime, you get sent to jail. There, you have to spend time doing hard labor before actually being able to get back to the real world. You can also buy a house, decorate it, buy cars and drive around the city as well.
NTE is actually a refreshingly fun gacha game that offers a truly unique experience, compared to most other gacha games in the market these days.
2. Wuthering Waves

Wuthering Waves is considered the spiritual successor to Genshin Impact. It delivers a much higher quality story and visuals that continue to get better with each update.
Genshin is still the second-highest earning gacha game in the world, but in terms of combat, visuals, and story, Wutherin Waves delivers beyond expectations.
Unlike other gacha games, Wuthering Waves also do brand collabs quite often, like the collab with Cyberpunk 2077 that included a free S-tier character for players.
3. Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact is the game that pretty much invented the recent gacha games trend. Since its release in 2020, Genshin still holds its position as one of the best gacha games out there.
Over the past few years, Genshin Impact received massive updates and expansions that made the game bigger than ever. In fact, it will probably take you at least 100 hours to complete the story campaign alone right now.
Genshin has a good balance between accessibility and the gacha mechanics. While the gambling aspect is still there, the game also supports free-to-play players by offering many ways to grind for upgrades and in-game currency. And that’s why this game is still thriving.
4. Arknights: Endfield

Arknights Endfield is another game that introduced a new style of gameplay into the genre of gacha games.
In this game, you get to experience both exploration-based combat gameplay and a cool automation-themed gameplay system, similar to Factorio, with lots of sandbox-style systems that take the game beyond just running around killing mobs.
Endfield is not your ordinary gacha game and for that reason, it may not be for everyone. The game, however, offers a different kind of experience for those of you who are burned out from playing the same types of gacha games.
5. Hongkai Star Rail

As of writing this post, Hongkai Star Rail is the most popular and highest-earning gacha game available right now. It’s generating over $50 million every month for the developer.
Hongkai Star Rail is the first gacha game that nailed the JRPG-style turn-based gameplay system. This made the game much more appealing to the classic JRPG fans and it certainly won over many of the Final Fantasy fans as well.
The game also received a lot of new expansions and updates that made the game even more addictive and entertaining. If you’re into Persona or FF-style games, this is the perfect gacha for you.
6. Zenless Zone Zero

Zenless Zone Zero is another title from HoYoverse and it’s arguably one of the weirdest games in the gacha genre, but in kind of a good way.
ZZZ has cool and stylized action combat, similar to games like Devil May Cry. It also has great cinematics and vibrant visuals. But it’s exploration and social system is what makes this game a bit weirder.
There are also many different progression systems for leveling up your character and unlocking new areas. There are cute mini-games and activities you can participate in as well.
7. Goddess of Victory: Nikke

Nikke is recommended by many gacha fans for its well-crafted story campaign and combat.
This game features cover-based shooter-style gameplay in a post-apocalyptic themed world. Everything from the character designs to the stylized environments and badass enemy bosses to take down, this game delivers one of the best action-packed experiences in all of gacha games.
Nikke is most suitable to play on mobile as it’s designed with a mobile-first approach. But the game is also available on PC as well.
8. Reverse 1999

Reverse 1999 comes with a very unique retro-themed art style that makes the game stand out from the crowd.
This game also features a turn-based strategy gameplay system with a card-based combat system. And it offers a different kind of vibe and experience, compared to other gacha games.
The game offers a decent story with beautiful visuals and characters. At around 20GB, the game is also quite small in size.
9. Brown Dust 2

Brown Dust 2 is a very fun and addictive gacha game that features a side-scrolling style exploration system.
This game also utilizes turn-based combat with a grid system. It also has a unique cartridge system that adds story packs and new gameplay systems as expansions.
Similar to Nikke, Brown Dust 2 is also ideal for mobile players. A PC version is also available.
10. Snowbreak: Containment Zone

Snowbreak: Containment Zone is another sci-fi-themed gacha game that centers around gunplay. It features third-person action combat with cover-based mechanics.
This game is especially fun to play with friends as it includes many co-op missions. The game also has good character progression, weapon customization, and more to unlock and grind for.
11. Infinity Nikki

Infinity Nikki is one of the few gacha games that comes with 3D visuals and graphics. It’s also quite popular on Steam and PC players.
This game is centered around open-world exploration and plays mostly like a life sim game where you can explore the world, solve puzzles, and unlock new outfits.
Infinity Nikki is perfect for players looking for cozy and chill gaming sessions, as it’s not entirely focused on combat.
12. Persona 5: The Phantom X

Phantom X is a mobile gacha game that was also ported to PC. This game is perfect for casual players to enjoy an easy and light gacha experience.
Since the game comes from Sega, you expect the same level of quality from this game. It features turn-based combat with heavy social simulation elements like school life, managing relationships, exploration, and more.
