If you can’t get enough of Vampire Survivors, then you should definitely give this game a try.
I’m going to be honest with you. I’m not a huge fan of rogue-like games and definitely not a fan of Vampire Survivors. But I had a strong urge to try this game because I love zombie games and this had something Vampire Survivors don’t—Guns!
So I requested a review code to check out the game and the developers were kind enough to send me a code to play it.

From the very first playthrough, I was hooked.
Yet Another Zombie Survivors is a bullet-hell style action rogue-like game. The premise of the game is plain and simple: Choose a character, choose a location, and then survive the hordes of zombies that come at you.
The survival part, however, is not as simple as it sounds.
In the beginning, you only have a few characters to play with. A ranged-combat expert with a pistol, a close-quarter combat expert with a shotgun, an engineer with some electric-based weapons, and a
Your character will auto-fire, so the only thing you have to worry about is to guide them through the zombies without being hit.
As you survive, you will receive upgrades and level-ups. If you can make it there in time, you will enhance your weapon capabilities and even unlock additional abilities like calling in chopper strikes and saw blades that circle around your character.
Your mission is to survive the zombie hordes until dawn. When you do, you will receive points that you can spend to upgrade your perks and abilities. Characters can also be upgraded as you play to equip them with better weapons.
As you progress in the game, you will unlock more characters and locations as well.
Gameplay-wise, Yet Another Zombie Survivors is quite enjoyable. It’s the perfect game to get your feet up and relax while killing a bunch of zombies.
The sounds of collection gold and unlocking upgrades along the way make it even more addictive.
Admittedly, I’m not very skilled at these games. After spending several hours in the game, I’ve only been able to unlock a few skills and one other location.
The game is difficult but it’s not Dark Souls difficult. It’s manageable and for folks who are looking for a challenge, the game has several modifiers to take things up a notch too.
Overall, I would highly recommend Yet Another Zombie Survivors to anyone who’s new to this genre. As someone who’s not a fan of rogue-like games, I thoroughly enjoyed this game.
Since I don’t have much time to play games, this game was perfect for me. I was able to jump in and enjoy short sessions without having to worry about any commitments to following a story or progression. It was pure fun.
