Gearbox has announced a major update to the Mayhem Mode in Borderlands 3, which will go into effect from April 23rd.
The Mayhem Mode in Borderlands 3 gets unlocked after finishing the main story campaign of the game. It’s basically a higher difficulty level designed for gamers looking for a challenge.
In exchange for playing in this difficulty, you get to use modifiers that buffs your damage and abilities. And a higher chance of legendary loot drops.
With the new update, or Mayhem Mode 2.0, you get to experience 25 brand new modifiers ranging from easy to very hard. Now the modifiers will stay active even when you’re moving from one area to another.

Another good news is that you no longer have to travel all the way to Sanctuary III to activate the Mayhem Mode. You’ll now be able to switch it on using a new tab on the ECHO device.
