Uses of Wine in Stardew Valley
Why do we need to brew wine in Stardew Valley? There are many reasons for that.
1. Wine Can Be Sold for Profit
You can make wine in Stardew Valley for commercial purposes. The selling price of a wine bottle depends on the fruit that you used to make the wine.
2. It Can Be Gifted
In Stardew Valley, you need to increase your relationship with the other villagers by increasing hearts. One of the most common ways to increase hearts is to gift an item to them.
Wine can also be gifted to many villagers such as Harvey and Leah. Apart from them, Abigail, Alex, Caroline, Marnie, Linus, Maru, Pam, and others like a bottle of wine.
But keep in mind not to give a bottle of wine to Jas, Leo, Penny, Vincent, or Sebastian because they hate it.
3. For the Community center
As we discussed in earlier articles, you need to collect samples from every item you found, collect, or produce for the community center.
There are some bundles inside each an every room of the community center that you need to fill. Once you complete the bundle, you will receive some gifts.
You need wine to complete the enchanter’s bundle on the bulletin road, one silver or better quality wine bottle (Optional) for the missing bundle in the abandoned Jojamart, one wine bottle (Optional) for the brewer’s bundle in the remixed pantry.
4. For Tailoring
You need a wine bottle for the black leather jacket. Once you used wine in the spool of the sewing machine, you can create a black leather jacket. Wine can be used for dying as a purple dye in the dye pots.
5. Need for Fish Pond Quest
You need one wine bottle to complete the fish pond quest, which is requested by Blobfish. Once you complete this task, you can increase the capacity of the pond from 5 to 7.
How to Make Wine
Now we know about the importance of wine in Stardew Valley.
But How do we make wine?
First, you need to craft a keg. When you reach level 8 of the farming skill, the recipe to create a keg will unlock. You only need 30 wood, 1 iron bar, 1 copper bar and 1 oak resin to create a keg.
Also, you will receive a keg for free as a gift, once you completed the artisan bundle located in the pantry of the community center.
Once you receive or create a keg, you can place it on your farm and can make wine. What you need to do is put any type of fruit such as apple, apricot, salmonberry, coconut, etc inside the keg. Within seven days of the game, you can take wine.
How to Age Wine
You can simply age wine if you have a cask. A cask is an artisan equipment that you can use to age artisan goods like beer, wine, cheese, etc. if you have 20 wood and 1 hardwood, you can craft a cask.
You can increase the quality of the above-mentioned artisan good from normal to silver, gold, and eventually iridium quality by placing it in the cask.
Once you placed wine inside a cask, it will take 2 seasons to age from basic wine to iridium quality wine.
Also, you can remove the normal, silver, or gold quality wine prematurely by striking the cask using a pickaxe, axe, or hoe.
What Happens When You Drink Wine?
When your player consumes wine in Stardew valley, the energy level will increase between 50 to 130, and health by 22 to 58. Also, the movement of the player will be slow.
