If you’ve found a cool weapon that you really like in The First Descendant, you can keep using it even after you level up.
To do this, you need to level up your weapon as you progress in the game.
Most of the weapons you find in The First Descendant will prove useless after a while. When you level up the difficulty of the missions, your old weapons will not deal enough damage. But, you can upgrade and level up weapons to keep using them.
In this quick guide, I will show you how to level up weapons in The First Descendant. The process is simple, you can upgrade weapons by using the crafting bench. You’ll also need a crafting material called Phase Exchanges.
Here’s how it works.
Step 1: Check Requirements
After you increase your mastery rank, you will unlock the Crafting Bench. You can use this to upgrade weapons and Reactors.
First, go to a crafting bench and check the requirements for upgrading your weapon.
To upgrade a weapon to a different level, you will need Phase Exchangers. Depending on the quality of your weapon, the amount required will differ. For example, it only costs 1 Phase Exchanger to upgrade blue weapons while it takes 4 to upgrade purple weapons.
Step 2: Craft Phase Exchangers
Visit Anais to craft Phase Exchangers.
You will need 50 Superalloy and 2500 gold to craft these. And it will take 2 minutes and 30 seconds to complete.
Step 3: Level Up the Weapon
Once you grab the required amount of Phase Exchangers, go back to the crafting bench.
Pick the weapon you want to upgrade and then pick another weapon with a higher tier to upgrade your first weapon. Keep in mind that this will destroy the second weapon you pick in this process.
Click the Weapon Level Transmission button to complete the process. That’s it!
How to Enhance Weapon Traits
You can use this same method to readjust the levels of weapon traits. It’s done through the Weapon Readjustment tab. This process requires a different material that you also need to craft via Anais.
In Conclusion
In the early stages of the game, your weapons will get outdated really fast. So it’s not wise to upgrade your weapons in these early stages.
Once you complete the main campaign and clear all the areas, then you can pick and upgrade your favorite weapons as you try you hand at the different World Difficulty levels.
