By We finally have a more detailed look at the upcoming sequel in the Borderlands series, and it’s looking fantastic!
Loads of details about Borderlands 4 were revealed during a recent gameplay deep dive event, including the four new characters you’ll be able to play in this new title.
As usual, you will be able to play as 4 different characters at launch with some of the familiar classes returning to the game, including a Siren and a new Exo-Soldier class.
In this title, players will be going up against a badass villain called Timekeeper, who has been “controlling a planet and its inhabitants with cybernetic implants called Bolts and an army of synthetic soldiers known as The Order.”
This is a step in the right direction for the game, especially after the disappointing TikTok influencer villains in Borderlands 3.
Lots of cool new traversal and movement abilities are being introduced in this game. And as usual, the game will feature tons of guns and loot to gather, including weapons from eight new and returning manufacturers.
Borderlands is one of the main reasons I started this website, and I’ve been enjoying every title in the series for quite some time. So I’m beyond excited to play this new title.

Borderlands 4 is releasing on September 12 for PC on Steam and Epic Games Store, PS5, Xbox Series X and S. The Nintendo Switch 2 version will be releasing later in 2025.
