11 Bit Studios has revealed the content roadmap for its ice-cold city-building strategy game, Frostpunk 2 and it’s looking pretty amazing!
Following the launch in September 2024, the developers have been busy rolling out several big patches and updates to Frostpunk 2 over the past few months.
They have drastically improved the game and it’s already promising to be a game of the year-worthy game.
The new content roadmap for the game shows more updates on the way in 2025. This includes a free major content drop that promises to “enhance and evolve your experience in meaningful ways”.
Additionally, the developers announced 3 new DLCs for Frostpunk 2 titled Spectrum and Aurora, both of which are slated to be released in 2025 followed by a third DLC to be released in 2026.
The biggest news, however, was the console release announcement. Frostpunk 2 is coming to consoles in 2025, including on Xbox Game Pass. The exact date will be revealed soon.
I had a blast playing Frostpunk 2 and enjoyed it much more than the first game. It’s truly a unique experience that every city-building enthusiast should try at least once.
